Diving over a tree!

We’ve been playing with Objects and Backdrops today – and the toy cars!

Continuing on from last week we set up our shots on the stations before taking the shots with our camera

Campervan on the beach

Using the clips from old magazines and the toy cars produced some really good shots and saved us the cost of location (Hee Hee!)

Pointing out the birds!

I revisited this picture from the last session. Using the pencils as “Pointers”.  I hadn’t spotted this till after taking the pic, but I created a “Sunrise” effect by marking them out.

Sat on a Polar Bear

As well as the lego men, Graham, one of the group brought in some railway model men

this allowed the group to be a bit more adventurous with our photos….

Convoy 🙂

Land of the Giant Polar Bears 🙂

Off into the Wild blue Yonder

and here’s a couple when I got home 🙂 Created along the same principles – studio a bit more rustic than that of BASIC Clicks…but objects and subject matter stayed the same (Astronomy book provided a little colour!)

Waterfalls and Closeups

Friday 3rd March 2017

Another session of Basic Clicks, the photography group at Brain and Spinal Injury Centre in Salford

Carrot Soup

Before proceeding with the photography – I enjoyed a nice bowl of soup in the cafeteria….and took a pic of it….

White Roses, Purple Flowers

The session worked primarily on composition, and setting up shots using our various cameras.  I liked working with the fountain, but I like my close ups of the flowers.

A Morning of Still Life, 2nd March 2016

All shots taken by Brian F Kirkham at the Photography Class, Brain & Spinal Injury Centre in Salford (UK)

Camera used in Session : Sony DSC – H300 with Tripod

In this session we’ve been using the tripod and lights to create some close up still life photography.

The Backdrop framed our target – a selection of food stuffs and straw to create a still life with a culinary feel.

With the combination of some really bright lights and some clever use of the tripod we came up with some wonderful shots of the food stuffs we set up on display in the light box.
