We’ve been playing with Objects and Backdrops today – and the toy cars!
Continuing on from last week we set up our shots on the stations before taking the shots with our camera
Using the clips from old magazines and the toy cars produced some really good shots and saved us the cost of location (Hee Hee!)
I revisited this picture from the last session. Using the pencils as “Pointers”. I hadn’t spotted this till after taking the pic, but I created a “Sunrise” effect by marking them out.
As well as the lego men, Graham, one of the group brought in some railway model men
this allowed the group to be a bit more adventurous with our photos….
and here’s a couple when I got home 🙂 Created along the same principles – studio a bit more rustic than that of BASIC Clicks…but objects and subject matter stayed the same (Astronomy book provided a little colour!)
If you’ve got any favourites – feel free to let me know!
another fun session and close ups with objects with Basic Clicks.
continuing with the bokeh theme, we set up shots with various different objects, from spoons to a guitar. The guitar worked nicely with last weeks shots, as we used a backdrop of musical notes again. I liked the images I managed to create in the session.
After the session, I enjoyed a lovely steak and onion panini with a side salad in the centre café – “Food for thought”, washed down with a lovely cup of tea!
Another Day in BASICs Photography Class – and today we’ve been doing a spot of Motion Photography. It basically revolved about slowing down the speed of the shot to capture the movement in the picture. The cameras were kept steady using a tripod or a flat surface and the shutter speed was brought up to a fast speed in order to capture the action of the water entering the glass and the bubbles it created.
It was a really enjoyable session as all the group worked as a team to achieve some brilliant photography
The motion photography is part of a ‘food’ theme we’ve got running throughout our lessons – we hope that some of the pics will be used to decorate BASICs Café – Food for Thought.
