this first line is now history..
That is a fact. For until a timelord lands in Salford tomorrow morning and plonks his TARDIS on the front lawn, I will be another day older when the sun rises in the morning.
The planets and moons will still turn around our sun and the flora and fauna that live on the blue earth will still carry on in their various systems of life on this diverse planet.
People will go about their daily lives, and the Wildlife will still live on in the forests and lakes around us.
The tides will go in and out, crabs and other shellfish will pop on the shore to say hello…seagulls woodpigeons and geese will continue their never ending battle with day trippers to grab a fallen piece of a fish and chip supper…whilst cats and dogs look on in envy as they patrol their street in the towns.
And all the time the earth will keep spinning. As the day moves along clouds and skies will shift. There may be rain, there may be sunshine – get them together – you might see a rainbow if you a lucky enough.
Then as the sun changes colour slightly and veers down the horizon – heading for the other half of the world, out pops the moon , the planets and the stars
Living by the busiest road in Europe – I still hear the rumble of wheels on Tarmac, but the night skies offer a newer scene with the characters that live up in the northern sky
On a clear night you can see all the constellations with the naked eye in my hometown. Orion, the plough and all the zodiac animals all pop up to say hello – and whilst i’m watching the stars – someone on the other hemisphere of earth is waking up to a brand new day.
And the earth keeps on turning…
