The Kitchen Floor

in response to the prompt : Dirty

When washing a kitchen floor –

it’s important to do it right

Make sure your cleaning materials

are ready for use…

Make sure the water is hot enough

to get those sugary spots off the tiles…

Use plenty of detergent

to catch every bit of dust, gravy, fat or egg

And finally – if one of you has taken the dog for a walk,

remember to take a towel with you

Doggy paws are pretty – but not when someone has just cleaned the floor!

(Note to the reader – the same approach applies to little children – only don’t clean their paws unless its time for a meal!)

Glad you enjoyed the read L.A. Just got word via the steam driven e-mail i’m having another of my poems published. The latest printed copy landed on my hallway floor a few days ago.

Congratulations. That is wonderful news. What publication? I want to start doing the same. Do you know where I can find a list of publications that publish poems?

I use two publishers – both with reasonable charges – Forward Poetry based in Peterborough and sited at , and, the Online site of an American/International Publisher – Social Design Publishing. Both these sites provide ample opportunity to get your work out there, and you can also self publish on the Forward Poetry site. My latest poem “Crazy Roundabout” has just gone back in after me approving it – and should appear in print around the end of May. Hope this helps.
